Why is my story important?
Silence in the midst of oppression is consent. This endeavor is one way for you to speak out and say systemic racism is not acceptable.
What if I am still learning about my role in institutional racism?
We are ALL still learning about our role in learning to say Black lives matter. Share your journey from where you are now. You can update your story whenever it seems appropriate based on a new understanding.
How do I submit my story?
Take a look at our Writing Guidelines to get started.
Will my name be published on the website?
We require your full name and contact information in order to publish the story, but we only post as much as you are comfortable with. You choose whether we post your full name, first name and city only, or name withheld.
How will my story be used?
Primarily, stories will appear on this website, and we have no current plans for using them in other forms, although we may choose to do so in the future.
All stories become the nonexclusive property of the Threshold Project and may be used in whole or in part – in print, on the Internet, or any other media – to develop the Threshold Project printed or electronic material.
