Welcome to Stepping Across the Threshold: Learning to Say Black Lives Matter, our collection of personal stories by white people who have taken a stand against racism, however partially or imperfectly. We believe it must become normal and expected for white people to actively oppose white supremacy in all its forms. We hope our stories will touch others who are re-evaluating their thinking on race, and who are looking for inspiration, modeling and encouragement to act.
We particularly invite white people, but we need and welcome stories from everyone who has come to terms with the necessity of speaking out and acting against racism.
You have a story to tell. We are listening.
